A Sunday in St. Petersburg

Sunday Kim and I went to St. Petersburg, Florida (Tampa Bay area) to see the Rays/Yankees game. It was my first time seeing these two teams play and also my first time inside a covered baseball stadium. It was a Sunday afternoon games so we were able to go to the beach afterward. We went to Treasure Island (pictured above) and played in the Gulf of Mexico. The water was so warm and thankfully oil-free!!! It was a nice relaxing day! Below are some pictures from the game.
There were just as many Yankees fans there as there were Rays fans. Luckily, the Rays won and are now ahead of the Yankees and in first place in their division!

Alex Rodriguez came in as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning. I didn't realize but he was attempting to become only the seventh player in baseball to hit 600 home runs. Unfortunetly for him he had to wait a few more games. The Rays awesome pitcher, James Shields, struck him out!!

Tropicana Field. There is not a lot of traffic at game time :)
